Oluwa, Wetin dey occur?

Welcome to Sarahblogz!!

Thank you for always reading. Yes you!!

Guys!! I woke up and gbam! I started seeing welcome to July 2020 on all social media platforms. Was it not just yesterday we were greeting each other happy new year?

The first half of the year has gone just like that and we are looking at this year with so much skepticism. There is so much fear and uncertainty in the air.

“Oluwa wetin dey occur?” a Nigerian pidgin expression for the question: “God what is happening?” It simply seeks to inquire the state of things or event.

With just the first half of the year gone, there has been a lot of changes. Relationships crashed, jobs have been lost, companies are shutting down, endless queues at the ATM, school is on hold and you can’t seem to hold it all together again. Now you are asking Oluwa wetin dey occur?

Calm down Calm down!!

Just like you, my mind has been everywhere but I have learnt to call my mind back from its many journeys. We have entered into another season of life in the history of the world and we need to approach it properly.

I will share some tips I have found useful in preparing for new seasons of life.

1.GOD LIKE NEVER BEFORE. Guys!! This is my own main card. It changes the game for me every time. You need God now more than ever before to help you understand the exact way to navigate through these times. Our lives begin to have value the day we realize He is all we have and need.

2.SURROUND YOURSELF WITH PEOPLE BETTER THAN YOU!! You really need your circle to lift you up. Check if they can!! I recently watched the video of a parrot barking like a dóg just because it had been in the company of dogs for years. John Mason once said: “sometimes a single conversation with the right person can be more valuable than many years of study”

3.WRITE THE VISION AGAIN. Approach the second half like a new year. Make your plans and paste where you can see them daily.

4.ONE STEP AT A TIME. Don’t put yourself under the pressure to achieve all at once. Take each step consciously and seriously. The steps will add up eventually.

5. TRACK YOUR PROGRESS. Develop a schedule to track your progress. This will enable you to make adjustments where necessary.

David McNally said: “Your past cannot be changed, but you can change your tomorrow by your actions today.”

I really hope you make the best of the rest of this year. Happy New Year guys!!
