SAM, THE LOVER BOY: FINAL EPISODE

SAM AND HIS LATEST LOVER

Yaaayyy!!! it is the final episode on Sam the lover boy.

“How can you say ‘I love you’, when your heart is not with me? You have mocked me these three times and have not told me where your great strength lies”. The story has it that she pestered him daily with her words. Ah!! Shora fun obinrin, Oluwa a wa pelu e!! Eventually, Sam spilled the secret of his strength. Guys I’m in tears!! She stripped him of his strength by shaving of his hair and the ever strong Sam became a prey to the enemies. They even removed his two eyes. Hmmn!!

Sam ruled as a judge in his land for many years. Despite his dignified position, he was sexually aroused and had a one-night stand with a harlot. Personally, I am still trying to understand Sam. Sam just has a way of steady bursting brains. Before we could blink our eyes, he fell in love with another lady from the enemy’s town. You will agree with me that when once bitten, you have gotta be twice shy..LOOL. There was no record that this particular cupid’s arrow that struck Sam was from God. One thing was certain, he had a purpose for being on earth which was of course to deliver his people from the enemies.

This love thing has always been too complicated from the days of old. Anyway, the enemies suggested to his new found lover to find out the source of Sam’s strength.  Sam was forming sharp guy. He deceived her about three times. In all of those times, this lady betrayed him by telling the enemies who in turn tried to kill Sam thinking that they had grip of the source of his strength. Please if you are Sam, what are you gonna do? Sadly, love, they say, is blind.

After the three failed assasinations, this hypocrite of a lady still kept saying:“How can you say ‘I love you’, when your heart is not with me? They even removed his two eyes. Hmmn!!

God is a good God. I call Him the God of many chances. Sam’s hair began to grow again and his strength began to revive. For the second time on record, he prayed and God heard. Sam died but he killed more of the enemies at his death than when he was alive. I still think he could have lived longer.

DEAL WITH YOUR WEAKNESS:

I hear statements like: “That is how I am” and in my mind I respond: “So you want to remain as you are”. Whatever weakness you don’t deal with, will wait to deal with you. Open up yourself to the Holy Spirit and let him give you strength. Sam could not control his sexual appetite for the opposite sex and it became a snare for him eventually. Even with God’s Spirit working THROUGH you, make sure you allow Him to work IN you.

LOVE IS NOT BLIND

I was not even matured for love when my dad began to tell me that love is not actually blind. Open your inner eyes in your relationships. There is no way you can know that person who is your friend, lover or buddy if the Holy Spirit does not reveal him or her to you. It is important to find out why that person is in your life. E get why? Some people are just in your life to destroy it.

LEARN THE ART OF SILENCE

I am personally a student in the school of silence. Being a lawyer, you know our job is to talk. LOL! But I have come to understand the power in silence. You don’t have to tell people everything about your life. Sometimes you just need to shush!! Don’t tempt God by saying nothing will happen. Wo! Something may happen and the Holy Ghost will still comfort you and make it work for your good eventually. Sam could have saved himself a lot of trouble if he had kept mute. This does not mean you can not seek counsel. Please learn to seek counsel oh. But you can’t be a talkative generally. Shey you get?

MERCY AFTER THE MESS

Guys, I don’t know what mess you have found yourself in due to your disobedience. Please be rest assured that there is mercy for you. God is a merciful God.

Wherever you are, just say this simple prayer:

Lord Jesus I acknowledge that I am a sinner. Please forgive me all my sins and cleanse my mess with your precious blood. Today I accept Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. Let your Holy Spirit come into my heart and direct all my affairs. Thank you Father for accepting me into your beloved in Jesus Name. Amen.
